Caring Workforce Survey

The Caring sectors are experiencing wide-spread and difficult staffing challenges, such as staff shortages, high staff turnover, and burnout. Waterloo Region, Guelph-Wellington, and Dufferin County are all growing in population, and will rely even heavier on these services in the future.

Our Caring Workforce Survey is active, and is collecting input from all staff in:

  • Healthcare
  • Childcare & Education
  • Social & Community Services
  • Arts & Culture
  • Sports & Recreation
  • Non-profit organizations of all types

Survey Topics

  • Workplace preferences (i.e. benefits, flexible work arrangements, recognition)
  • Ideas for attracting, retaining, and nurturing staff
  • Psychological health and safety in the workplace, and ideas for improvement
  • Ideas for structural change

Timeline

  • Online Survey: Open now. Survey closes November 30th, 2025 at 11:59 PM.
  • In-Person input event for frontline staff: Late November (details to come)
  • Summary Report release: March 2026

Will you help us get this survey out to as many local Caring sector workers as possible?
