A newly released document featuring programs & supports for newly arrived immigrant entrepreneurs is now available on the Workforce Planning Board website. This environmental scan captures programs and services in place exclusively targeting newly arrived Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) Entrepreneur Stream immigrants with regard to starting a business or purchasing an existing business (i.e. business succession in Canada).
PNP Entrepreneur Stream immigrants differ from other immigrants in that, among other differences, PNP Entrepreneur Stream immigrants generally have two years to launch successfully a business employing the primary applicant and two Canadians not related to the immigrant.
By scanning the ways that government, government-funded actors, and others create supports encouraging entrepreneurship for immigrants, the aim of this document is to provide strategic intelligence on the interventions that may facilitate immigrant entrepreneurship.
