MFG (Manufacturing) Day

What is MFG Day

Held annually on the first Friday in October with events that continue throughout the month, MFG Day—Manufacturing Day—helps show the reality of modern manufacturing careers by encouraging thousands of companies and educational institutions around the nation to open their doors to students, parents, teachers and community leaders.

The main goal of MFG Day is to promote manufacturing careers and to dispel the common misconceptions of this sector by giving students and members of the public an inside look at what manufacturing careers are really all about. For this year’s MFG Day we are producing a series of videos with manufacturers in our area that show what careers in manufacturing really look like. In previous years we have organized bus trips and given in person tours of local manufacturers. Due to concerns surrounding COVD-19 in 2022 we have chosen to once again produce a series of video tours featuring area manufacturers.
