Workplace & Immigrant Network (WIN)

The Workplace & Immigrant Network (WIN) is our new initiative launched in 2023, focused on establishing a centralized network that brings together immigrant jobseekers, and local employers across Waterloo Region, Guelph, and Wellington County.

At WIN, our primary goal is to improve immigrant-employer connections in the region. Through this initiative, we offer tailored support to immigrant jobseekers in Waterloo Region and to employers in Waterloo Region, Guelph, and Wellington County. For jobseekers, we provide assistance in navigating the Ontario job market, along with identifying and accessing necessary tools for a successful employment journey. For employers, we provide resources and support to enhance their strategies for recruiting and retaining global talent.

Our support for immigrant jobseekers includes a wide range of services:

  • Connect with leading employers
  • Guide individuals through industry-specific requirements for a career shifts
  • Host informative learning workshops to support jobseekers in the market
  • Organize networking events to connect employers and jobseekers
  • Offer referrals to training and other supports

Similarly, we work with employers to provide these:

  • Connect employers with skilled immigrant talent
  • Audit and pilot shifts to company processes
  • Conduct training workshops to support best practices
  • Arrange networking events
  • Direct referrals to other best fit employment organizations if we cannot provide the service

Our aim is to cultivate thriving workplaces that are enriched by the diverse skillsets of immigrants.
