This Conestoga Career Centre course offers Internationally Educated Health Care Professionals an interactive classroom-based understanding of the Canadian health care system including the key concepts and principles of professional practice needed to work as a health care professional in Ontario.


Are you a detail orientated, challenge-welcoming, highly-organized dynamo and expert event planner? If so, we need to talk to you about this exciting opportunity. This 3 month contract position (potential for extension) offers you the chance to shine, show your potential and use your existing skills and develop new ones. This job provides lots of opportunities to meet new people, to expand your professional network and have creative input to our largest annual partnership activities, October’s Manufacturing Day/Month. Multiple events include simultaneous manufacturing facility tours across Waterloo Wellington and Dufferin for students, new Canadians, jobseekers and members of the public. There’s also a wrap up celebration breakfast event later in October.

If you're considering a career as a millwright the pre-apprentice program at Conestoga College is a great way to get started. The Pre-Apprenticeship Millwright and Electrical program consists of 23 weeks of in-school and 8 weeks on-the-job and will equip students with the basic skills required to secure a position as an apprentice. The curriculum provides the student with in-school curriculum for the Millwright trade, to increase the student's general level of knowledge about the industry. Introductory electrical skills are also covered. An eight-week placement, academic upgrading and employment strategies are also included in the program curriculum. Graduates may choose to pursue an apprenticeship in the millwright or industrial electrical trades. Registration deadline is July 19
