These 2-page Occupation Snapshot pages share data about workers within Dufferin County, Waterloo Region, and Guelph-Wellington County.
Each Occupation Snapshot includes information on:
- Number of people who work in this occupation
- Demographics of local workers
- Wages*
- Number of job searchers & new apprenticeship registrations
- Method of Commute
Research for each job used Canada’s national system for describing and grouping occupations: National Occupational Classification (NOC). There are 10 broad occupation categories, with more specific occupations within each.
*Wages often change within the time it takes to collect, analyze, and share accurate data. Use this wage data along with a tool like the Bank of Canada’s Inflation Calculator to estimate current-day rates. The ‘Median Wage Advertised in Job Postings’ will be more recent, but as accurate as the employers listing the job postings.
